Modular Homes

Platinum modular homes are a completely new concept in home construction.

Modular home construction is more exacting than that found in “site-built” homes and it incorporates the efficiencies and quality control developed for “off-site” home construction.

The materials and construction techniques you would expect in any quality-built home are exceeded in a Platinum modular home. You also have the added confidence of knowing that your modular home was built in a quality-controlled environment under the watchful eyes of people with years of home-building experience. An added benefit is the fact that the brand-name materials used in the construction of your home are never exposed to rain or damaging weather during the building process.

Just as you would expect of any quality-built home, Platinum modular homes meet local building codes.

Modular homes are perfect for city or country living because they can be constructed so quickly. Remote rural homesites pose no problems for modular home construction as they might for a site-built home. With modular construction, crews of carpenters, electricians, plumbers and painters that move from job to job are not needed, and therefore do not delay your move-in date.

In the city, Platinum modular homes can be built just about anywhere because the only difference between Platinum modular homes and a site-built home is where they are constructed – not how.

  • Platinum modular homes are constructed to the same code as site-built housing.
  • A municipality typically does not differentiate between modular homes and site-built homes.
  • A deed is issued for a modular home because once it is installed the home becomes part of the real property.
  • Platinum modular homes are erected on a permanent engineered foundation system.
  • All components are assembled with exacting patterns (Jigs). Precision fit is assured. All corners are square – all walls plumb and level.
  • In addition to nails, our modulars incorporate bolts, straps and special adhesives in construction. These add additional strength not found in site-built homes.

The Platinum Homes team has been building homes for years. It is no surprise that we lead.

Whether you’re looking for cottage comfort or wide-open spaces for a large family, a Platinum modular home can be built for you. Most of our homes feature sheet rock walls over 2”x4” or optional 2”x 6” studs on 16” centers, available residential 6/12 roof systems and some models even include sunset-friendly porches. Platinum modular homes are erected on a permanent foundation just like a site-built home. The homesite is prepared, an engineered concrete foundation is poured and the home is erected on the foundation. Some models can be built with optional wind load specifications up to 150 mph.

Quality materials and construction of a Platinum modular home provide great value for your dollar at purchase and for many years into the future.

Platinum uses brand names you trust in the construction of your new home. From floor to ceiling, fixtures to appliances, every feature of our homes provides you comfort, security and ease of maintenance long into the future.

Platinum modular homes are built for energy efficiency – thermal pane windows, elevated levels of insulation and a builder installed 13-SEER air conditioning system or heat pump – start the list. Not only does this mean a more comfortable environment for you and your family, it also means that you will save thousands of dollars in energy bills over the years.

The quality in a new Platinum modular home can be seen in the details.

When you tour a Platinum modular home, we ask that you look at the details. Notice the cabinetry, trim and fixtures. You’ll discover quality workmanship and brand-names that you know and trust. The same is true of the appliances we put in all of our homes. You can expect many years of trouble-free service for you and your family.

Platinum promises that all of the materials used in the construction of your home meet or exceed recommended guidelines and codes. When you compare manufacturers this is especially important to note. We place great pride – and you will place great value – in Platinum quality.

Platinum Modular Homes works with you throughout the entire home-buying process to help ensure your new home is all you dreamed it would be.

Not only does Platinum offer home designs with 1,100 to over 2,200 square feet of living space, our home builders make every aspect of the home-buying experience easy – from choosing the home you want – through purchase and home site preparation – to Protection Plan service after move-in. Modular homes, like traditional site-built homes, are financed with a mortgage. You are welcome to secure your own financing or your Platinum homebuilder can assist you in arranging financing. Our modular homes qualify for the same mortgage programs as traditional site-built homes. Plus, our Protection Plan is the best in the industry and we will respond quickly to address any possible problems that occur after move-in.

Modular Home Manufacturers and Builders are Licensed and Registered

Registration as a manufactured housing retailer or installer is not the same as registration as a modular builder in most states. While laws vary, in most states a license is required to be an approved modular homebuilder.
